PERCEPTION is a research team associated with INRIA, Centre de Recherche INRIA Grenoble Rhone-Alpes, and with Laboratoire Jean Kuntzmann (LJK). The scientific objective of the team is to map images, and videos, and sounds onto high-level representations. More specifically we address the following broad topics:
Building rich 3D representations using shape, geometry, texture, and photometry in combination with multiple cameras;
Modeling 3D shapes: recognition, tracking, matching, motion capture, motion segmentation;
Biologically plausible computational models of perception, in particular binocular vision, and binaural hearing
Integration between vision and hearing for human-robot interaction.
